Girdle Belt Fitting Guide

Below is a handy guide & notes to give you an idea of how to measure for your girdle belt.

All of my girdle belts are made to be worn between the waist & hips as shown in the individual listing photos & all are finished with chain that has links large enough to allow you to fasten the clasp anywhere along the length - With this in mind, should you buy a belt that is larger than needed you will easily be able to fasten it to the smaller size that you actually require.

The length of each of the decorative drops on my girdle belts (the piece that hangs down the front of the dress) vary depending on the design. The length of these is stated within the items description details.

Fitting:

1a) Put on the dress/costume that you intend to wear the belt over (or a garment that has a similar thickness or bulk) & measure your waist size.

1b) Add enough extra length to your waist size to form the 'V' shape to the front (for this slim fitting gown I have added 3 inches)

1c) Shows how the belt will look when worn with the extra 3 inches added to the waist size.

2) Shows the size belt I used for this guide (30 to 36 inches)

3) Shows an example of the 'size' drop down boxes on each of my listings. Use this to choose your required size.

I also make a variety of chain, charm & beaded belts (some examples below) In each of the photos provided on the individual listings, I show how each piece looks best worn.
For the fitting of these I would advise that you put on the dress/costume that you intend to wear the belt over (or a garment that has a similar thickness or bulk) then holding the tape measure around your waist let it loosen a little at a time until you achieve a similar fitting/drape as shown.
Again, as stated above, all of my belts are finished with chain that has links large enough to allow you to fasten the clasp anywhere along the length, so should you buy a belt that is larger than needed you will still easily be able to fasten it to the smaller size that you actually require.
